ABSTRACT

The child psychiatry practicing is important for preventive mental health. The family characteristics, parent's psychopathology and socio-demographic factors affect to psychiatric condition in children. The most frequent diagnoses were adjustment disorder (%16.2) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (%14.8) in child psychiatry outpatient clinic. The most chief complaint was speech problems (18.4%). In this study we retrospectively assessed sociodemographic factors and psychopathology of children who applied to child psychiatry outpatient clinic.
