ABSTRACT

An Amyand’s hernia is a rare occurrence where the appendix is included in the hernial sac. Its clinical presentation differs depending on the extent of inflammation of the appendix. The diagnosis of Amyand’s hernia is rarely made preoperatively. In this study, we present a 2-month-old boy who underwent appendectomy due to symptoms of inflammation and right inguinal hernia that the appendix was in the hernial sac.
